The meaning of the Knight of Wands Tarot card is ‘enthusiasm.’ Usually, the Knight of Wands symbolizes a fast-moving individual. The Knight of Wands is a classic ‘quick’ Tarot card. Usually, when this card appears, its meaning is clear; something (or someone) in your life is about to enter or quickly leave.
In some Tarot card decks, the Knight of Wands is called the Prince of Wands. The Knight of Wands can also be named the Son of Wands or Batons. However, the Tarot card meaning of the Prince/Son of Wands/Batons and the Knight of Wands is the same.
Knight of Wands General Tarot Meaning
With regard to maturity, the Knight of Wands is a step up from the Page of Wands. However, he is not yet at the level of a Queen or King of Wands, so keep this in mind when designing your interpretation.
Like other fire cards, The Knight of Wands is excitable and enthusiastic but also has the ability to actually get things done. The Knight predicts that you will go through a period where you put your foot to the peddle and do some work regarding a dream you have or plans you’ve made.
It’s possible that the Knight of Wands does not represent you but another person in your life (or someone coming into your life) who’s a real go-getter, and who is willing to spend all their energy manifesting what they want into reality.
Haste is a theme with the Knight of Wands. While this can be a good thing, it also means that the Knight can swiftly enter and leave people’s lives. While you can rely on the Knight to build you a house, that doesn’t mean they will then want to move their stuff in once it’s built.
Speaking of houses, it’s common for the Knight of Wands to symbolize a change of residence. You or someone close to you is probably going to move house. If this is what you want, great. If not, beware of your finances.
Knight of Wands Love Tarot Meaning
In general, it is more favorable to receive a Knight of Wands than a Page of Wands for a love Tarot reading. The Knight is more reliable and has an increased sense of responsibility. This individual is not as emotionally mature as a King or Queen, but is maybe ready to commit in the future. This doesn’t mean they will commit to you, though.
There is a vintage interpretation that says the Knight of Wands symbolizes someone leaving. I’ve found that although the Knight of Wands doesn’t always set out with bad intentions, they’re the type of person who always thinks the grass is greener on the other side. Usually, the individual represented by the Knight of Wands falls out of love and ends the relationship.

Knight of Wands Feelings Tarot Meaning
The Knight of Wands is a highly sexualized card, so it can mean that your lover views you as mainly a sexual object, not a potential marriage partner. While this is fine for some people, the card can be a warning that the Knight has plenty of physical feelings toward you but isn’t looking for anything long term.
Knight of Wands Career & Business Tarot Meaning
Unlike with the Page of Wands, the Knight of Wands is more likely to take action. While the Page represents the birth of an idea, the Knight acts on that idea and manifests something, anything, into reality.
The Knight of Wands can mean that your career or business plans will begin to take shape. You’ll be busy, busy, busy creating new things and getting a move on. You will not necessarily begin to see results, but you will actually have your products and/or services in physical form.
The only real negative thing about the Knight of Wands in a business Tarot reading is that it can mean you’ll move so fast that you won’t give yourself time to rest or think. You could risk burnout if you don’t schedule some downtime.
Knight of Wands Future Tarot Meaning
The Knight of Wands in a future position often symbolizes energetic people entering or leaving your life. The Knight of Wands in the future of a love Tarot reading is not a good omen if you’re involved in a whirlwind romance. In these cases, the Knight of Wands predicts that your lover will leave.
In some cases, the Knight of Wands can represent someone new and unexpected coming into your life in the future. Whether they’re a friend or lover, they will swoop into your life and take you by storm.
Yes or No with The Knight of Wands
General – The Knight of Wands is neutral for most questions. However, if it’s an ‘action’ question involving something you should or shouldn’t do, the Knight of Wands is a yes, get moving.
Do they like me? – Yes, this person likes you. However, they’re the type of person who is overly focused on themselves, their friends, and their hobbies.
Am I pregnant? – I would not read the Knight of Wands as a pregnancy or conception Tarot card. However, some Tarot readers would interpret the Knight of Wands as a pregnancy card if the child’s father is not likely to stick around.
Is this relationship going to last? – Sadly, I do not think your relationship is going to last. However, the Knight of Wands can symbolize a new lover coming into your life.
Does the future of this look promising? – The future of this matter does look promising, but it also looks like hard work.
Am I going to reconcile with my ex? – It does not appear that your ex-lover is going to come back into your life. The Knight of Wands can mean that if your ex does return, they will then quickly leave your life again in the future. However, don’t worry, as you will soon meet a new lover who will take their place.
The Knight of Wands as a Negative, Weakness, or Obstacle
When the Knight of Wands appears in a negative, weakness, or obstacle Tarot spread position, this means you are doing too much. You’re at risk of serious burnout because you haven’t yet managed to balance your energy. You do not know when to stop.
Again, the Knight of Wands can appear as an obstacle if someone in a relationship is not fully committed. Sometimes, the Knight of Wands will also appear as a negative if a lover or friend is going to leave your life.
The Knight of Wands as a Positive, Strength, or Advantage
The Knight of Wands can appear in a positive, strength, or advantage Tarot spread position. This means that you are going to take action. You’re not going to sit around twiddling your thumbs – you’re going to be getting things done!
In some cases, the Knight of Wands can indicate a change of home. Other than symbolizing a new home, the Knight of Wands can also represent something tangible in your hands. While you will have lots of ideas with the Page, the Knight of Wands means that you will finally have something to show for your creativity.
